Himalayan Odyssey A photojourney by Umesh Khanduri
Speechless
Unburdened
No path too long
No horn too disturbing
Wishes are not to be bottled
Here, theyre set free and wild
Like the untamed river
Like an intoxicated soul
Here, life is a different hue
A different fragrance, a different view
Shadows bring light
Nature reflects piety
An empty vessel emerges most knowledgeable
because Wisdom comes to those who fill it with Pain
Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water
When they heard the great fall say, Come to me, I shall fill your pail, dear son and daughter
Jaded and placid, the lake lazes
While elsewhere in a corner Salvation smiles
No shelter needed from the skies
Or from the river through its lows and highs
Stillness speaks the language of purity
Tough inclinations tread tough paths
Sunshine knows no obstacles
Like the mighty river
Which flows bold and brash
Like trees that stand tall on leaning grounds
Purity, too, has its shades of gray
Color your heart crystal
Or a fresh green rust
The fountain of wonder shant ever let you dry
